"The aesthetic is really what makes these worth the money, anytime Nike combines a retro upper with a modern sole for a functional purpose it’s a winning recipe. As for the Vapor Court X sole, I really didn’t love the inward slant that the soles seem to have. I felt my foot pronating in an unnatural way rather than feeling supported. I actually took and old pair of Nike insoles and cut them down the middle and added the inner half underneath the existing insole to level out the footbed and it seems to solve the problem for the most part. I do however appreciate the stiff shank in the sole, it reminded me of the carbon fiber shank in the Nike vapor cleats I wore playing football in college. Anytime I play on a surface harder than real grass I find myself really needing that rigidity in the mid and forefoot. I know the Vapor court X is a very popular shoe on the ATP tour but I d be interested to know if any other athletes are also put off by the slanted sole and resulting lack of arch support." via Nike

"Shoe looks great and is comfortable. However, after using them just once a hole is already starting to form at the toe" via Nike
